BackEaster Message

 My dear Friends:

A truly Blessed and Joy filled Easter to you all! May His Love, Hope and Healing rise like a new dawn in your lives! May the resurrection, and the rolling back of the stone empower us to roll back the stones that often entrap or entomb us in pain, woundedness or regret. One of the great mystics, Malvena Rumi wrote:

I said: what about my eyes?

He said: Keep them on the road.

I said: what about my passion?

He said: Keep it burning.

I said: what about my heart?

He said: Tell me what you hold inside it?

I said: Pain and sorrow.

He said: Stay with it.

The wound is the place where

the light enters you.

From the palm waving welcome given to Jesus, to the disappointments, betrayals, passion and crucifixion of Good Friday, Holy Week often mirrors our own personal journeys and life experiences. The pain of broken relationships; the disturbing medical results to numerous tests; the stresses, pressures and tribulations of the workplace; the sense of loss through bereavement are indeed the wounds, the multiple places through which the light of God’s love, healing, hope and joy can pierce the darkest of nights. This is the light that can herald a new dawn within us. It enters through a seemingly, painful wound. A wound which is really a door to illuming wholeness.

May that light of Christ’s love, joy, peace and healing enfold you and your families at this special time.

Remember me as loving you,

Fr. Antony
